生平

諏訪敦於1967年出生於日本北海道,他在武藏野藝術大學藝術設計研究院學習油畫。1994年,他被日本文化廳推薦爲見習生,到西班牙進修藝術。翌年,他在西班牙巴塞隆納基金會主辦的第五屆國際畫展上奪得頭等獎,是首位獲得此項殊榮的亞洲藝術家。而2003年在日本Sompo藝術館舉行的第廿二屆精選推廣展中,他榮獲優秀獎。

 

自1994年起,他一直於日本及海外舉行個展,包括於2008年在東京佐藤美術館的個展《擁有複眼的現實主義者》、2011年在日本諏訪市美術館《反正甚麼也看不見》、2014年在香港季豐軒畫廊的《安睡者》。他亦參與在重要藝術機構舉行的群展,例如巴黎皮爾卡丹藝術中心(2015)、威尼斯Fondazione Querini Stampalia (2013)、東京新國立美術館(2007)、日本北海道現代美術館(2007)、上海美術館(1998)等。他的作品獲Benetton收藏(威尼斯)、巴塞羅基金會(西班牙)、佐藤美術館(東京)、橫濱美術館等美術館收藏。

 

作品
風格

超越寫實的風格

諏訪敦以其天賦的超卓寫實繪畫技巧著名。他的作品均以艱苦的繪畫功夫完成,極盡細緻,無比精確。在他繪畫的肖像裏,主角都像活生生的人,正在畫布上呼吸。他重塑眼之所見的能力叫觀眾目定口呆。雖則他精於捕捉物的外相,將他簡單歸類「寫實」畫家實在大錯,他的視野遠超表面。

他深究繪畫對象的背景,一如記者。他竭盡所有可能的角度去理解「真實世界」。他的藝術追尋是一條漫長的路,為了探索「真實」的「全部」,特別是「真實」裏那些「看不見的部份」。故此,他的藝術把觀眾帶入一個超出我們所有感官、超出我們一切經驗與觀念的世界。

 

父性

在1996年,諏訪敦以素描及相片紀錄了病危父親的容貌,其後成了題為《父親》的一組作品。到了1999年,他更花了兩天,守在離世後的父親身旁,看著自己生命的源頭一點點、一點點地煙飛。那生命與生命後的臨界一幕成了十年間兩幅作品。在其中2010年所畫的《無題》中,父親的口微張,停了呼吸的兩唇間是一彎黑洞。精細畫面上僅僅一個小節,卻吐著沉重的力量。這角虛無露出生命後的混沌,人從我們熟悉的現世,所謂「真實的」現世,靜止下去,冰冷下去,然後飄離,無助地飄離,飛向不能名狀的太空和永恆。

在《父親》組列,諏訪敦在摸索自己的未來,在找尋從存在到消失、從現世到死後的轉折。在2008及2009年間,他亦畫了自己剛出生的兒子,那是摸索自己的過去,是找尋從虛無到存在、從生前到現世的過渡。

 

安睡者

諏訪敦初於1995年開始《安睡者》系列。他的模特兒很多都是自薦的,沒有專業經驗,很難長時間保持同一個姿勢。諏訪敦就叫她們閉上眼裝睡,以便輕鬆下來,甚而真的睡著了也沒問題,(有人的確睡著了) 。從中畫家自己亦體驗到不同啟示,成就出一個創作思路。

《安睡者》系列利用了睡眠狀態去揣摸從生到死,從前生到現世的過渡。畫中人都閉上眼晴,不知她們是否真的睡著了,(甚至不能十分肯定她們是否仍活著 )。無論如何,她們都懸浮於一縷綿綿的安詳,所有憂慮放下了、所有貪求放下了、所有糾纏放下了、所有不捨也放下了,從現世退入了另一種非現世的「真實」。畫面充滿著超精確的筆畫,但呈現的卻是遠遠離開「現世」的一個境界,那可能是界乎生、死、醉、夢之間,甚或正是那非生、非死、非醉、非夢的大解脫、大逍遙。到了那裏,栩栩如生的表象反為微不足道,人世間的故事亦無需要說了。



和鳴

《和鳴》系列中,畫中人的眼睛或是半開半閉,或是呆著了,目光散漫,視而不見,為畫面加添一份懸疑,叫人凝息。為了再進一步去探索「真實」不為人見或不為人知的部份,諏訪敦在測量我們意識不清晰或停止的時間,將之呈現於我們面前。 相比《安睡者》,這是塞滿另一層張力的戲劇,離肉眼所見的「真實」更遠,離可見與不可見、可知與不可知之間的邊緣更近。

諏訪敦的手段是神授的形相重現,極端的精緻寫實,恰恰他的追求是遠遠高於表象的重塑,是整個的「真實」,他要走到目之盡頭,以至目不可及的渺沌。他把視覺可以接收的一切呈現到了「呈現的極限」。我們因此站上了視覺乃及整體感知最高的崖邊,一伸手已經碰到崖外的無盡虛茫,那是另外的一個世界,一個超出我們所有感官、超出我們一切經驗與觀念的世界。
