Xue Song: Meta-Nature

Published on the occasion of Xue Song: Meta-Nature, a major solo exhibition organized by the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art & Urban Planning and co-organized by Kwai Fung Hin Art Gallery, from March 25 to June 29, 2025.

 

The exhibition focuses on the artist’s "The Dao from Nature" series, created since 2019, and features over 60 paintings and archival materials, offering a comprehensive overview of his 40-year artistic journey, from Pop Art collage to abstract expression.

 

The publication features an in-depth essay by the curator Dr. Jiang Jun, an independent curator, art critic, and co-curator of the Chinese National Pavilion at the 60th Venice International Art Biennale. With a complete collection of the exhibited works alongside a detailed chronology, this meticulously curated publication offers an invaluable resource for understanding Xue Song’s artistic practice.
