Featuring over 160 works by Li Huayi representing each major period from 1993 to 2017, this is the most comprehensive monograph devoted to the work of the outstanding Chinese contemporary ink painter. The book provides in-depth analysis of Li Huayi’s career by professor Kuiyi Shen, as well as excerpts of scholarly critiques by Michael J. Knight, Souren Melikian, Robert D. Mowry and Wu Hong Liang. The book also includes an illustrated chronology of Li Huayi’s life and a selective list of the artist’s solo exhibitions, group exhibitions and notable collections.
