Twenty-five-year Asian art market veteran Eric began his career at Dimension Art Gallery and New Age Gallery. He joined Christie's Hong Kong in 2001, playing a leading role in establishing Christie's Hong Kong Modern and Contemporary Art Department, and pioneering the Pan-Asian auction framework that integrates art from China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia. He also curated Asia’s first auction featuring Gutai works. Under his leadership, multiple record-setting auction results were achieved, including Sanyu’s Nude on Tapestry (2023, HKD 187.4 million), Zao Wou-Ki’s 29.09.64. (2017, HKD 152.8 million; resold for HKD 278 million in 2022), Zeng Fanzhi’s Hospital Triptych No. 3 (2013, HKD 113.2 million), Yayoi Kusama’s A Flowers (2023, HKD 78.1 million), Tsuguharu Foujita’s Reclining Nude with A Small Dog (2020, HKD 37.5 million), Kim Whan-Ki’s 05-IV-71 #200 (2019, HKD 102 million), and Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Donut Revenge (2023, HKD 163.3 million). Eric was behind the 2023 exhibition "The Way Is Infinite: Centennial Restrospective Exhibition of Zao Wou-ki" in Hangzhou, facilitating the loans of over half of the exhibited works, consistently advancing the international recognition of Asian art.
