“I think an artist should not merely try to stuff his thoughts invariably into only the one expression method that he is familiar with. Instead, he needs to consider the use of a more ‘appropriate’ way to express his ideas. Whether the medium is oil paintings or installation, he should use the ‘appropriate’ language. However, there is one fundamental point, whether I do two-dimensional works, installations or mixed materials works, I shall always maintain the style continuity or consistency through a kind of graphical language.”
